Questions families often ask

If your question is not answered here, please call our office on +357 22 476 627.

Do I need a referral?

No. A referral from your doctor is preferred, but not required. You can contact us directly. We see children through GeSY (ΓεΣΥ), and privately if they are not GeSY beneficiaries.

How do I book an appointment, EEG or MRI?

Please call our office on +357 22 476 627. Let us know whether your child is a GeSY beneficiary, and whether you prefer Nicosia or Limassol.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

Please bring your child's ID card and any previous medical reports, test results and scans.

How do I prepare my child for an EEG?

Please see our leaflet Preparing for an EEG in the Information for families section. We usually recommend some sleep deprivation before the test, especially for children over 2.

Will medical students be present?

Dr Nicolaides teaches at UNIC Medical School, so students may sometimes be present. We always ask your permission first, and you are free to say no.

Do you offer online or telephone consultations?

Yes, on request, including for families who live abroad. Please contact our office to arrange one.

Which languages do you speak?

Consultations, reports and our leaflets are available in Greek and English.

How will I get my child's results?

We explain the results and the plan at a follow-up appointment, and send a report to you and, with your agreement, to your child's doctor.

What if I need to cancel?

Please call our office at least 24 hours before your appointment, so that we can offer the time to another family and arrange a new date for you.
